This is part of the Eagles Consultancy “Level 3 Teaching Assistant Package”, which means that this is a programme of study, including the teaching assistant qualification plus additional specialist courses.
To achieve this qualification the student will be required to complete a range of units, which includes both knowledge and skills evidence. Students will need to be employed or in a voluntary placement.
The purpose of this qualification is to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills of supporting children and young people in primary and secondary education. Once completed students will be ready to enter the workforce as a teaching assistant.
The aim of the qualification is to support students to achieve a qualification that will equip them to directly support teachers in the teaching and learning of pupils. On completion students will be equipped support assessment for learning, developing relationships, promoting equality and diversity and understanding how to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people. To successfully complete the qualification students will need to demonstrate competence across both knowledge and skills-based outcomes.
Evidence produced for the qualification will be internally assessed by your assigned course tutor and externally quality assured.
