This qualification will typically take 20-24 weeks to complete as a standalone qualification. If accessed via progression from the level 2 Health and Social Care certificate, it will typically take 8-10 weeks to complete as both qualifications share common units.
To achieve this qualification learners will be required to complete 7 units including 5 mandatory and 2 optional, offered from a bank of units across a range of subjects.
This is a nested qualification which means its shares common units with the Level 2 Health and Social Care certificate. Learners are encouraged to attend work placement to support their learning, cache recommend 30 hours of placement in a Real Work Environment.
The purpose and aim of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding essential to the health and social care sector, which includes a variety of different subject areas including, dementia, infection control, end of life care as well as safeguarding and health and wellbeing.
This qualification will support learners to enter employment in a health and social care environment or support progression to further learning.
Evidence produced for the qualification will be graded by your assigned tutor.
This course can be delivered using a blended learning approach. This will give you flexibility to direct your own online learning. You will be assigned a tutor to provide support and guidance including face to face if desired. As well as having access to resources and collaboration tools to assist your learning.
