The purpose of this qualification is to increase the learner’s knowledge and awareness of children and young people’s mental health. This qualification will support progression onto further qualifications or support those who work or wish to work in education or health and social care sectors.
The aim of the qualification is for learners to develop a knowledge of children and young people’s mental health. You will explore mental health problems commonly associated with children and young people, including how this may impact on the health of children, young people, and others. The learner will also explore a range of support service that can be accessed for those who experienced mentally ill health and identify how to support mental wellbeing in children and young people.
Evidence produced for this qualification will be internally assessed by your assigned course tutor.
This course can be delivered using a blended learning approach. This will give you flexibility to direct your own online learning. You will be assigned a tutor to provide support and guidance including face to face if desired. As well as having access to resources and collaboration tools to assist your learning.
