This qualification will typically take 6-8 weeks to complete. If accessed via progression from the l2 award in Awareness of Dementia, it will typically take 4-6 weeks to complete as both qualifications share common units.
To achieve this qualification learners will be required to complete 7 mandatory units
This qualification aims to assist learners to develop their knowledge and understanding of the principles of caring for those with dementia. You will undertake learning that will focus on, different behaviours in the context of dementia, as well as administering medication for those with dementia.
The purpose of the qualification aims to assist you in preparation for employment or progression in a variety of job roles across the health and social care sector, further learning is also an option.
Evidence produced for the qualification will be internally assessed by your assigned course tutor.
This course can be delivered using a blended learning approach. This will give you flexibility to direct your own online learning. You will be assigned a tutor to provide support and guidance including face to face if desired. As well as having access to resources and collaboration tools to assist your learning.
