This qualification will typically take 10-12 weeks to complete.
It is part of the Eagles Consultancy “Childcare Pathway”, which means that is part of a 3 course programme of study.
To achieve this qualification the learner must complete a minimum of 37 credits, which will include a range of units.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop the student’s knowledge and skills of how to care for children in a range of key areas, for example: knowing the support a young child needs to gain confidence through play, understanding activities that will develop a child’s talking and listening skills, knowing about the need for a healthy diet for the young child, as well as knowing how to respect and value children as individuals, knowing about factors which influence growth and development of children from birth to 5 years 11 months and knowing about health and safety equipment which helps to keep children safe.
This qualification is suited to those considering a career in childcare, while it will not lead directly to employment, it does provide the student with the knowledge to make an informed choice about a career in childcare and offers opportunity for progression to higher, further learning and employment.
Evidence produced for the qualification will be internally assessed by your assigned course tutor.
This course can be delivered using a blended learning approach. This will give you flexibility to direct your own online learning. You will be assigned a tutor to provide support and guidance including face to face if desired. As well as having access to resources and collaboration tools to assist your learning.
