The purpose of this qualification aims to build on learners’ knowledge and understanding of infection and how to control this in a health and social care environment. Learners will develop a knowledge of prevention and control of infections, the causes and spread of infection as well as cleaning, decontamination, and waste management.
This qualification can support learners to higher level learning, progression in their work role or for future job roles in health and social care industry.

This course can be delivered using a blended learning approach. This will give you flexibility to direct your own online learning. You will be assigned a tutor to provide support and guidance including face to face if desired. As well as having access to resources and collaboration tools to assist your learning.
